Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease spread all over the world and causes a pandemic among the people. The World Health Organisation (WHO) officially announced about the covid-19 viruses is spreading all over the world in January 2020. The first COVID-19 case was reported in Wuhan City, China, in December 2019.

In India, the first COVID-19 virus case was first reported in Kerela.

While the virus spread all over the world, the government measures to control its spread in India. It conducted heavy screenings and mandatorily quarantined incoming International travelers and also conclusively suspended all visas, except for diplomats and employment, till April 15. All cross-national borders were sealed, and railway operations were suspended. And also all schools, gyms, malls, clubs, hotels, community halls, etc. were shut down. But due to the increased risk of the spread of the virus, on March 24, the Prime Minister announced a complete 21-day lockdown for the entire nation, banning people to move out of their houses. This act, thus, severely restricted the community spread of the virus.

After a few months, the government allowed the opening of the office, shops, schools, malls, theatre, etc under some restrictions. The people are allowed to move but they have to follow the rules announced by the government to prevent the COVID-19 virus from spreading.

What is the COVID-19 virus?

At the beginning of  2020, a new virus became the headlines all over the world because of the unmatched speed of its transmission.

The covid-19 virus origin was first traced in a food market in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. From there, it’s reached all over the world as distant.

The virus was officially named SARS-CoV-2. Nowadays the millions of people getting infections globally, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths.

The disease caused by an infection called SARS-CoV-2  and named COVID-19 stands for coronavirus disease in 2019.

Symptoms of COVID-19:

To know the person is affected by the virus or not it  takes nearly 14 days or more than  3 weeks
Most common symptoms:
  • Fever
  • Dry cough
  • Tiredness
Less common symptoms:
  • Aches and pains
  • Sore throat
  • Diarrhea
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Rash on the skin
Serious symptoms:
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Feel chest pain or pressure
  • Loss of speech for a movement

Prevention Form COVID-19:

  • Avoid close contact with the people who are getting affected.
  • Keep some distance between you and other persons. Maintain 6 feet, or 2 meters from other persons
  • Wash your hands with soap and water.
  • Cover your face with a face mask in public spaces
  • Stay home, avoid public transportation like buses, taxis, and share autos if you’re sick. Live-in home to prevent COVID-19 virus spreading.
